Hiking gear
If you enjoy hiking or camping or just plain exploring you might want to go and see this other site of mine with survival gear.
Gear up and be ready.
Gear up and be ready.
Lets go and explore.
When I was a child I used to do a lot of exploring. One of my
favorite places was a river bottom that is usually covered with water all summer long. I had fun exploring the strange and unusual rock formations that can only be seen when a nearby lake allows the water to go down in late fall. However this year due to draught, the water is at an all time low in the lake. One of the features of this river bottom was a strange almost circular cut out in the river bottom rock. All my life I have wondered what is in the bottom of that cut out. Now after all these years, "I'm now 61 and I was about 13 when I discovered this interesting river bottom," I went back with my camera and took a video. I now know what is at the bottom of this mysterious hole in the river bottom. Here is my first video . Enjoy

If you have any ideas on articles you would like to see on the spot please post them
I'm planning on some nice articles on nature.
I'll also have some articles on how to save by gowing green.
When I was born in October of 1950 there were about 2 1/2 billion people on earth and now there are about seven billion people. That can make you feel old, when you consider that you are older than over four billion other people. If everybody used about 1 gallon of water a day, just think thats seven billion gallons of water. If you throw in showers, flushing toilets, swimming pools, irrigation of crops, and factory use, THAT IS A LOT OF WATER.
Now consider the amount of pollution that is going on to our water supplies and waterways,
"It's kind of scary if you think about it." If you do any research on the subject then it is no longer kind of scary. IT IS VERRY SCARY!!!!!!! I won't bore you with any of the facts on water pollution you can look them up yourself. CATION!....... Don't do this if you're faint of heart.
Think about food for a minute. We all know where food comes from, of course!!! The grocery store. how many people do you know that grow their own food? I'll bet it's not too many. What if all the shelves were empty? Something to think about isn't it? In an industrialized society you do not control your food. Large corporations take care of you.
I thought about this for a while. And I thought about it some more. I thought about the things I don't know how to do. I don't know how to make corn flakes. I don't know how to make flour if I don't have the grain. I don't know how to make toilet paper. I don't have a cow so I guess I have to do without milk. I don't think coffee beans grow where I live, so I guess that's out. I'm not a cow, so I can't eat grass.
The more I thought about these things, even though I am older than over 4 billion people I have found that I'm still as dependent as a little baby.
Now isn't this something to think about?
